Bethany informed me that the sign said "Welcome to Cloudland Candyland."

We went down to the falls, but I didn't take my camera with me, in case I needed to carry a tired hiker back out. As it turns out, she made it herself.

Jacks River in June


Despite the humid heat, there's plenty of shady trees and cold water along the Jacks River Trail.

I hadn't been out there since February. This time around I had a nice swim in a deep hole, and river crossings were pleasant refreshment.
