Rhodo-mangrove

Lake Conasauga (man-made) has a bunch of rhododendrons clustered on its banks. The combination of the water with their dense twisting forms reminded me a little of mangroves. This is the best I could do photo-wise. This is one of those shots I could fiddle with for quite a while to get right, and still not be satisfied, so I refuse to do anything (and I usually don't do anything). Imagine the leaves greener and the water in the background not so bright.
Rhododenrons were in bloom along several lower ridges in the Cohuttas, but they had not yet bloomed up high at the lake.
